The short answer
Do Algerian citizens qualify for an Azerbaijan e-Visa?
Yes. Algeria is on Azerbaijan's e-Visa eligibility list. Algerian ordinary-passport tourists normally need an advance visa, and an e-Visa is an available route for a suitable short visit. It is not a visa-free nationality arrangement. A consular visa is another route, while certain residence-permit holders or special travel categories may have different entry arrangements.

Compare the given names and surname on the photo page. Do not replace them with a fresh translation from Arabic or a shortened French-language booking profile.
Passport and identity card are different
Use your Algerian travel passport for the application and upload. A national identity card or an overseas residence card does not replace its photo page.
Residence is a separate question
If you live in France or another country, keep the nationality of the passport used for the trip and enter your current residential address separately.

Match Arabic and Latin-script identity details carefully
Read the labelled Latin-script surname and given-name fields in your Algerian passport before filling the application. Use the spelling already present in that document. A name used in Arabic correspondence, on a local record or in a French-language customer account can look different without being the correct reference for the visa form.
Keep all the given names and preserve the surname field. If a spelling changed after renewal, use the current passport rather than an older version. Request guidance for a blank field or unsupported character instead of guessing.
Use the travel passport rather than a local identity record
The required upload is the passport photo page used for your journey. Place it flat, include all its edges and make sure the number and dates are readable. A photograph of the passport cover, an identity-card scan or a residence-card image does not provide the same information.
If you hold a second nationality, choose the passport you intend to use at Azerbaijan entry and follow its nationality rules. Being born in Algeria or holding an Algerian identity document does not mean Algeria is the correct selection when you are actually travelling on a different national passport. Keep the application, attachment and travel document consistent.

Apply with an overseas address without changing nationality
If you are an Algerian passport holder resident in France, Spain or elsewhere, enter the actual residential address where requested. That address is distinct from both passport nationality and the place you will stay in Azerbaijan. A European residence permit should not be entered as your passport number or described as citizenship.
Certain qualifying Gulf residence permits can affect the entry route; not every foreign residence document does so. Check the country and conditions before relying on an airport arrangement. A transit-country visa addresses that country's requirements and does not replace Azerbaijan permission.
Prepare the right trip details before choosing a package
The application asks you to choose Tourism or Business and provide the relevant travel information. Select the purpose that describes the visit, rather than choosing whichever seems simpler. A plan to work or settle requires its own assessment; an ordinary short-visit application should not be used to disguise a different purpose.
Have your Azerbaijan arrival date, accommodation address and reachable email ready. Allow for connections when confirming the arrival day. Recheck passport number and birth date in the confirmation fields. Review companions individually rather than copying the lead traveller's details, then choose processing with a complete application.

Check passport expiry against the visa's expiry date: the passport must remain valid for at least three months after that date. The 90-day visa window does not allow a 90-day stay; the maximum stay is 30 days.

Questions from Algerian travellers
Is an Algerian ordinary passport eligible for an Azerbaijan e-Visa?
Yes. Algeria appears on the eligible nationality list. Online eligibility means you can apply; it does not itself give visa-free entry or guarantee that a visa will be issued.
Should I translate my Arabic name myself?
Use the Latin-script identity details printed in the passport you will carry. Do not introduce a different transliteration simply because it appears in a booking profile or an unrelated document.
Can I use an Algerian national identity card for the upload?
No. Upload the travel passport's photo page. The passport number entered in the form must refer to that passport, rather than the number on a national identity or residence card.
Does living in France change my passport-country selection?
Not if you use an Algerian passport for the trip. Choose Algeria for that document and give your current address separately. If travelling with a French passport instead, assess the French-passport route and use that document consistently.
