Azerbaijan e-Visa for Slovak Citizens

Before a Slovak passport trip to Azerbaijan, check the child-travel paperwork where relevant and compare passport expiry with the visa end date. Keep the actual arrival route, permitted stay and processing window as three separate decisions.

The short answer

Do Slovak citizens need an Azerbaijan visa?

Slovak ordinary passport holders need a visa for Azerbaijan and can apply for an eligible short visit through the e-Visa route. Slovakia’s Foreign Ministry says every traveller, including a child, needs an individual passport. The usual electronic visa is single-entry, with up to 30 days of stay within a 90-day visa window.

Before you start

Three checks for your Slovak passport

01

Check each child’s papers

Slovak country advice calls for the child’s own passport and discusses notarised authorisation when a child does not travel with both parents.

02

Read the validity units carefully

Slovakia’s advice uses 90 days beyond visa expiry; the e-Visa condition uses three months. Check the actual dates rather than treating every three-month span as exactly 90 days.

03

Confirm how you will enter

The Slovak advice describes restrictions on land entry. Verify the specific route; having an e-Visa does not confirm that a crossing is available.

Azerbaijan e-Visa prices for Slovak applicants

Choose around your intended arrival in Azerbaijan. Both packages cover the same single-entry e-Visa and permitted stay, with different processing options.

Standard e-Visa

$59USD / applicant

3 working days

For travel planned ahead. Allow extra time for document checks, public holidays and any requests for clarification.

Urgent e-Visa

$99USD / applicant

3-hour processing option

For a nearer departure. The urgent option operates on weekends and holidays; complete and accurate documents still matter.

Apply Urgent — $99

Each price is the total evis.az package price for one applicant. Published processing windows apply after a complete visa application is submitted. Preparation, corrections and requests for information can take additional time. Azerbaijan's authorities decide approval and entry.

Passport validity: compare the actual dates behind both formulations

Slovakia’s country advice requires passport validity at least 90 days longer than the visa expiry. Azerbaijan’s electronic visa condition expresses the requirement as at least three months beyond expiry. These use the same reference point but different units; a calendar-month span should not automatically be converted to a fixed number of days.

If the passport is close to a limit, check both dates with the airline and relevant Azerbaijani representation before paying. The form’s date validation is not a guarantee of boarding or border acceptance. Complete a planned renewal first and use the issued replacement consistently.

This passport calculation is separate from the visa’s own window and allowed stay. The normal electronic visa has a 90-day window but permits up to 30 days of stay within its issued dates. Neither period extends because a passport is valid for longer.

Check the arrival route rather than assuming a visa opens a border

Slovak country advice describes entry restrictions at land borders and air arrival as the ordinary route. Recheck any planned overland crossing close to departure instead of using an issued visa as confirmation that a road or rail route is open.

For an airport connection, establish whether you stay airside or formally enter Azerbaijan. Collecting baggage, leaving for a hotel or a self-transfer can change the answer. Ask the carrier about the actual handling rather than assuming all journeys labelled transit are identical.

Use the local arrival on the final flight into Azerbaijan to choose the visa start. If you leave Azerbaijan and return during a wider itinerary, review the second entry; unused days on a single-entry e-Visa do not supply another arrival.

Choose the processing option after the document and route checks

Standard is $59 USD per applicant with a three-working-day processing window. Urgent is $99 USD as a separate total with a three-hour option, including weekends and holidays. These are USD service packages, not EUR quotations, and a faster option does not waive the passport or child-travel requirements.

Read the surname and given names from the passport labels and use its document number, not an identity-card number or rodné číslo. Prepare a clear identity-page image, actual accommodation address and monitored email. Check the records and total before checkout.

On receiving the visa, inspect name, passport number, dates and allowed stay, then print the matching PDF. For visits exceeding 15 days, arrange place-of-stay registration separately. A booking confirmation or visa payment does not establish that the accommodation provider has registered the stay.

Keep these to hand

Your Slovak passport application checklist

  • Individual Slovak passports for adults and children.
  • Notarised child-travel authorisation requirements checked for the accompanying adult.
  • Passport expiry assessed beyond visa expiry using the actual dates.
  • Travel-document number distinguished from rodné číslo and identity-card records.
  • Confirmed entry route, local arrival, accommodation and reachable email.
  • The selected USD package and each traveller’s identity reviewed before payment.

Check passport expiry against the visa's expiry date: the passport must remain valid for at least three months after that date. The 90-day visa window does not allow a 90-day stay; the maximum stay is 30 days.

Questions from Slovak travellers

Can a Slovak child travel under a parent’s passport or e-Visa?

Slovak country advice requires the child’s own passport. Prepare an individual visa application and check any separate parental travel-authorisation requirements; the adult’s visa does not cover the child.

Are 90 days and three calendar months always the same passport check?

No. Slovakia’s advice uses 90 days beyond visa expiry, while the e-Visa condition uses three months. Check the actual dates and confirm a borderline passport with the airline and relevant representation before relying on it.

Can I enter by land just because my e-Visa has been approved?

A visa does not override border restrictions. Slovak advice describes limits on land entry. Confirm the particular crossing and route near departure rather than treating visa issuance as proof it is open.

Is my rodné číslo the passport number?

No. Enter the document number from the current passport identity page. The personal identifier and identity-card record are separate from that passport number.

Does an airport transit label mean I cannot need an entry visa?

Confirm the actual transfer with the carrier. Staying airside and collecting baggage or leaving the airport can involve different entry arrangements. A self-transfer or overnight stay should be assessed before travelling.

What are the Standard and Urgent package prices for Slovak applicants?

The Standard package is $59 USD per applicant; Urgent is $99 USD per applicant. These are the total evis.az application service package prices. Choose either package to carry its processing option and total into the application form.
