Azerbaijan e-Visa for children and families

A child who needs a visa needs a separate application, including when registered in a parent’s passport. Prepare each traveller’s details, keep the family total clear and review everyone before payment.

Quick answer

Does a child need a separate Azerbaijan e-Visa?

Yes, when the child requires a visa, they need their own application. A parent’s e-Visa does not cover a child. The published e-Visa guidance also requires a separate application when a child is registered in a parent’s passport.

Check eligibility for each traveller’s travel document. A family can have different passport nationalities or individual entry exemptions; a shared address or surname does not give everyone the same entry rights. Use the passport eligibility checker for anyone whose route is uncertain.

Separate applications, one family review. On evis.az, complete one traveller, add the next and check the combined summary before payment. Each person retains their own identity details and visa result.

Prepare a traveller-by-traveller checklist

Keep the passports beside you and finish one person’s record before moving to the next. This helps prevent a parent’s passport number or birth date being carried into a child’s application.

For each travellerWhat to compare before continuing
Travel document and nationalityThe passport that person will actually travel with. Use their nationality, not the family’s residence country.
Names and birth detailsThe child’s own given names, surname and date of birth. Follow the passport’s Latin spelling and the form’s guidance for an unstated surname.
Passport number and datesRead from that document. A child’s shorter passport validity can require a different check from the parents’ passports.
Readable document imageUpload the correct passport photo page for that person, in JPG, JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB.
Travel and contact informationCheck the arrival date, Azerbaijan accommodation address and a reachable email for application updates.

Use the document and passport-date checklist for the shared technical requirements. Permission to travel with a minor is a separate travel-document issue: check the requirements for your family’s nationality, departure route and accompanying adults before departure.

How much do family applications cost on evis.az?

The evis.az package is $59 Standard or $99 Urgent per applicant, including children. These are our full service-package totals in USD, not an age-based government-fee schedule. No child or family discount is included in the examples below.

Travellers needing our serviceAll StandardAll Urgent
1 adult + 1 child (2 applicants)$118 USD$198 USD
2 adults + 1 child (3 applicants)$177 USD$297 USD
2 adults + 2 children (4 applicants)$236 USD$396 USD

Count the people who actually need a paid application through this service. For a different party size or a mixture of Standard and Urgent, use the traveller-total calculator. Compare the final recorded order total before paying; the payment screen also explains the charge currency.

How to add your family before payment

  1. Start with the first traveller. Select that person’s passport nationality, processing package and intended arrival date. Complete the identity and contact sections using their details.
  2. Save and add the next person. Use “Save & add another traveller” at the end of the form. Check each new record’s nationality, package and passport image; do not treat them as copies of the first traveller.
  3. Review the whole party. Confirm that every travelling child and adult who needs the service appears once. Open Edit for a record that needs correction and compare the family total.
  4. Continue to payment after the review. A combined order is an organisational convenience. It does not turn the applications into one shared visa or guarantee that all results arrive together.

When visas arrive, match each issued document to its traveller and passport. Check names, numbers and dates individually before the journey.

Children’s visa questions before you start

Does a baby need an application too?

Age alone does not allow a child to use the parent’s visa. Check the baby’s passport and any applicable entry exemption; if a visa is required, prepare a separate application.

My child is included in my passport. What should I do?

A separate e-Visa application is still required when the child needs a visa. If the child has no separate passport, contact our team before payment to confirm how the child’s record and document image should be prepared. Do not substitute the parent’s personal details.

Can everyone use the same email address?

Use an email address you can reliably monitor for updates. Keep the identity and passport details separate for each traveller, even when the family uses one contact inbox. Check which traveller each message and visa concerns.

Can a mixed-nationality family apply together?

Our traveller records have their own nationality fields. Check each person’s eligibility and entry options independently, then add the eligible applicants. Someone who needs another visa route should not be entered under a relative’s nationality.

Is the quoted family total a single family visa?

No. It is the sum of individual evis.az packages. Review every traveller’s details and every issued visa separately.
